Day 1: Moscow

  • Visit to Cosmonaut Museum.
    The Museum of Cosmonautics opened its doors to public on April 10th, 1981. The museum’s exposition gives a retrospect on how Soviet space science evolved starting from first man-made satellites subsequently followed by the first manned space flight, first space walks, Moon exploration programs, Solar system exploration programs and international space research programs. It is therefore a very interesting way to discover Russia and Cold war history as well as learn about fascinating scientific discoveries.
  • Performance at the Circus.
    In Russia the circus is considered as art on a par with ballet and opera, a stage for highly skilled and creative artists. The Old Moscow Circus was founded in 1880, in response to the huge popularity of the art form, and quickly became the most respected and loved circus in Russia, even during the Soviet Times as it was considered as an egalitarian art. Today the visit at Nikulin Circus, the prestigious circus in Russia, is very popular thanks to the beauty of the old building, its acrobats, grotesque clowns and animal shows which makes of any show an impressive, funny and kids-friendly moment to relax in Russia’s capital.

    The Estate Kolomenskoe is the former residence of Moscow dukes and Russian tsarsIt is a museum-reserve, a monument of the 16th and 17th century Russian architecture. Here are united not only architecture but also natural monuments.
  • OPTIONAL. Sergiev Posad.
    Nowadays Sergiev Posad is one of the most fascinating sights of the Golden Ring of Russia, however you may visit it during your trip to Moscow as well. It represents the finest pieces of traditional Russian architecture of the 14th – 15th centuries.
  • OPTIONAL visit to Monino.
    The air Force Museum is the only aviation Museum in the country, the backbone of which consists of full-scale airplanes, helicopters, gliders and other aircrafts.
  • OPTIONAL visit to BUNKER-42.
    Bunker 42, built in the 50s, occupies more than 7000 square meters, 65 meters below the ground level. The tour depicts the Cold War period. You will learn how the facility protected its residents of all factors of atomic explosion and fell how close the threat of World War 3 Nuclear beginning was.

    The largest aquarium in Russia — Sochi Discovery World Aquarium - was opened in Sochi. Over 6000 square meters there are 30 aquariums, totaling 5 million liters of water. Feel like Neptune next to the aquarium, where colorful fish swim.
